There would be times when I would ride city buses to listen to what people were talking about. This one particular woman who would always be riding the West Calumet Bus to the casino looked at me writing on a notepad. “What you always be writing about Street Wise? “She asked me. "Where yo badge at to be asking me questions?" Street told her. We both laughed as she socked me in the arm.

Councilman Garcia of East Chicago filed a complaint against Mayor Copeland and his Campaign Finance Report. But he didn't make it to first base with the Lake County Board of Elections. He's hoping there will be Boots On The Ground in East Chicago to help him cross home plate with his complaint.
